Hypnosis
Darkness surges around her, like depths surrounding a SUBMARINE’s desperate dive. She presses back against the deeply cushioned chair, ridged as the GALAXY behind her eyes streams past in sickening waves. No reprieve this time. There! One small erratic spark teases her. She pushes forward, reason struggling to brush the flashing connection. “Beloved!” she whispers. “Stay …no, no. Don’t leave me. Come back, so…” her voice falters. “Don’t let them. Please. Stay. PROMISE me… please!” The darkness pulls her backward. A repulsive voice croons, “Once again, Racine, I want you to relax.” Her mind screams and succumbs to the darkness.
